In Home Care in Flemington, New Jersey
Professional, Trusted and Local Senior Home Care by Comfort Keepers® of Flemington, NJ.
As people get older they sometimes start losing some of the independence they’re used to. Many find it difficult to complete even the simplest chores that they once found so easy to do such as cooking, cleaning, taking medications, and even basic hygiene. While these changes don’t happen overnight, their effects eventually become more and more apparent. It is important to look into quality in home senior care before it’s too late for your loved one to take care of themselves at all.
Comfort Keepers® has been providing home care services in Flemington and all of Hunterdon County since 2006. We believe there is nothing more important than helping people live full, independent and safe lives within the comfort of their own homes. We work closely with families to customize a plan that provides a perfect balance of services, from as little as three hours a visit to full-time, 24/7 around-the-clock home care. More importantly, we will treat your loved one with respect and dignity, as if they were a member of our own family.

About Flemington, NJ:
Flemington, New Jersey is a thriving town with a unique historical past. Before European settlement, the fertile land that comprises Flemington, as was all of Hunterdon County, was the territory of the Lenni Lenape Native Americans. In 1712, as part of a land parcel of 9,170 acres, the Flemington area was acquired by William Penn and Daniel Coxe. In 1785, Flemington was chosen as the County Seat of Hunterdon County. Fire destroyed the old courthouse in 1826 and the City of Lambertville made an ultimately unsuccessful attempt to have the seat relocated there. Flemington remained the County Seat and the Courthouse which still stands today on Main Street was built. In 1856, the Hunterdon County Agricultural society purchased 40 acres of land to host the County Fair. The fair was held every year at the Flemington Fairgrounds which also was the site of Flemington Fair Speedway. In 2003, the County Fair adopted a new name, the Hunterdon County 4-H and Agricultural Fair, and moved to the South County Park in East Amwell Township
On January 2, 1935, the "Trial of the Century" got underway in Flemington. Bruno Richard Hauptmann was charged with kidnapping and murder of Charles Lindbergh's baby boy. Journalists from around the world stayed at the Union Hotel and filed phone reports from its bar, lobby and rooms. Both Charles and Anne Morrow Lindbergh were called as witnesses. Charles testified that he recognized Hauptmann's voice from the night that he and Condon had delivered the ransom money to the cemetery. When Hauptmann took the stand he denied all involvement with the crimes. He went on to say that he had been beaten by the police and was forced to alter the way he wrote so that his handwriting matched the writing on the ransom note. Testimony ended in early February of 1935. Following 11 hours of deliberation, the jury found Hauptmann guilty of murder in the first degree. Bruno Richard Hauptmann was put to death in the electric chair on April 3, 1936.For more information, please call Comfort Keepers® at 908.806.2220 or Toll Free at 877.806.2220.
